Jamie Donaldson is the coordinator of volunteers for North Avondale Montessori.  There are many rewarding and fun opportunities for volunteers.  High school and college students seeking service hours, documented experience and future reference letters are welcome.  Groups and seniors are welcome too.

 North Avondale Montessori has identified a number of children who would truly benefit from a tutor.  We are asking for your much NEEDED help.    

1.  During school hours (30 minutes weekly):  Tutor any grade, K-6, in reading, writing or math on any weekday between 8:00 AM  - 3:00 PM. You pick the time, subject, and grade and we’ll match you with a great kid!

2.   Super Saturdays: basically a 2 month commitment tutoring math and reading, Super Saturday is a program to help 4th, 5th and 6th graders who are not proficient by state standards.  Our goal is to help them be able to pass the Ohio Achievement test which will take place immediately after the Super Saturday program.  NOTE: If you can not make EVERY Saturday, we still need you!  Just let us know your schedule. Dates to be announced.

Free training is available . Potential tutors get a free background check though Cincinnati Youth Collaborative (513.475.4165).
