The
Local School Decision Making Committee (LSDMC) is the
primary governing body for each school in the district. The
committee is comprised of equal representation from parents,
teachers, non-teaching staff members and community members.
The responsibilities of
the LSDMC include developing the vision and mission of the
school, setting goals, approving the budget, and selecting
the school principal when a vacancy occurs.
LSDMC also approves any
locally initiated change in school programs or focus and
makes recommendations to the principal regarding other
school issues.
Members meet the first
Monday of each month at 6:15pm in the
Media
Center.
All regularly scheduled meetings are open to the public.
Meeting agendas and minutes are available by request in the
school office.
